I’ve written about and been introduced to the vegan lifestyle many times over. From friends and coworkers to guests in our home, I engage with many vegans regularly. Whether they make the choice for their health, the environment, or animals, I am in awe of the vegan lifestyle and have often leaned deeply towards it. After all, veganism is about more than just the food for many people. It’s about protecting the planet’s resources, being conscious about waste and pollution, and being an advocate for animal rights. For some, it’s also about making sure every product in their home is vegan, including personal care and cleaning products. Vegancuts is a service that caters to the lifestyle, making it easier to find certified-vegan products for the body, inside and out.
The truth is, it’s hard to be vegan in an animal-based society. Whether cooking for someone else, sourcing foods to make at home, or eating in a restaurant, there’s much to scrutinize in every ingredient. Animal products are sneakily ubiquitous in beauty and wellness products too.
Although I eat a heavily plant-based diet, I have never claimed to be vegan, or even exclusively vegetarian, which is why I found the Vegancuts offerings so enticing.
What is Vegancuts?
Vegancuts is a subscription box service. They have two offerings. One is a Snack Box, stuffed with a variety of selected snacks and drinks each month. The other is a Beauty Box, which includes at least four full-size beauty products that are always vegan, cruelty-free, paraben-free and free of harmful chemicals. You can also order individual items from the Vegancuts Market or a combination of beauty and snack products.
Introducing Myself to Vegancuts
My journey with Vegancuts began with my son’s vegan girlfriend and a concern over having suitable vegan options in the house. I found myself reading a lot of packages and asking a lot of questions about her specific needs. As the holidays approached I took the opportunity to gift her a three month subscription to the Vegancuts Snack Box. In the end, though, it ended up being a gift to myself as I continued to explore the world of vegan options through my own subscription for some time afterwards.
Product Review
It’s always fun to get a package in the mail, but I found myself particularly excited when it was time for my monthly Vegancuts Snack Box to arrive. In fact, my entire family swarmed when the box was opened, eager to explore the contents.
Each Snack Box contains a minimum of ten vegan food and drink items. There were sweet treats, salty selections, thirst-busting items, and much more. Some brands were easily recognizable, even with my limited exposure to vegan offerings. Most, however, were new to me and even the vegans I cater to. This was the best part of the box for me–getting to try out a variety of products in small portions.
While not every product was a hit with the family, there were many we played a game of ‘Rock, Paper, Scissors’ over. In the end, the Snack Box was a great way to sample vegan products and get a better idea of what we like and what we don’t. It also allowed me to always have well-vetted, guaranteed vegan options around without having to rely on my own research.
If you’re looking for a gift, or simply want to delve into vegan food or beauty offerings for yourself, Vegancuts is convenient, reasonably priced, and reliable. Plus, it’s a fun break from the standard selections you might make. You can learn more and sign up for subscriptions at Vegancuts. This is an affiliate link.
